In the film, a few changes were made to the character. At the film's beginning, Light is a first-year law student at a university, instead of still being in high school as in the beginning of the manga and anime. Light's motives differ; in this version, he uses the Death Note out of frustration from the perceived failures of the Japanese justice system. Light, prior to his discovery of the Death Note, hacks into the government database and finds that the government secretly acknowledges that it is unable to prosecute many criminals. Getting rid of "In Other Media" header
I think this section on pages such as Misa's and Light's that refers to their roles in the movies should be removed and simply replaced with "Live Action Films" or something, as it makes it confusing, since the template includes a section titled "In Other Media" which references things such as Light's cameo in Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid.

This is the 2nd best live action anime that I've watched so far! It's so good! You'll find the mixed genra of the movie. And it makes you say "sugoi!", means awesome.

Death Note Respect
The reason why I respect Death Note the most is that it made to the 4th rank in the list of top Manga series after One Piece, Naruto and Bleach; without being a battle manga. It did not have the handy tool of fantastic battles to increzse its appeal. Though there was a fantastic battle of the minds throughout the entire series! Isn't it so?

Don't you guys think that Death Note should be ranked as the best manga in the world? The intricate strategies, the extreme realism and not including even a single unreal aspect, i.e. except for the Death Note, to create one of the most interesting plots ever.

Theme Debate
Hey people! I wanna ask you a question. Which Death Note theme do you like better?
1: The World performed by "Nightmare". Episodes 1-19. My personal favourite(yes, I spell favourite with a u, I'm Canadian.) since there isn't any swaring, it's ridiculously catchy (seriously, I whistle it everywhere I go) and it fits the theme of psycological thriller perfectly. Just listening to it gets my heart pumping. Wow, I italiicized a lot of stuff here.
2:What's up, people?! performed by.. um... MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, apparently? Episodes 20-37. I personally don't like this one much. It consists more of screaming than singing, and, according to some translations, contains one of the worst sware words, which I can't stand.

Death Note american remake idea
Hello there, I've started this page to show you my idea for the american remake of Death Note, starting by the movies and followed by the cast.
Just to make things clear, the shinigamis will be completely CGI.
First off, 3 movies shall me made. The first one would start (Obviously) when Light finds the Death Note, finishing with him graduating college. In this timelapse, Roy Pember will appear, as long as his wife, Naomi Misora, being really the main antagonist of the film, pretty much like in the japanese version of the movie. While Light struggles to kill Naomi, around half way through the movie, Misa comes in, killing with the second death note. OMG I am looking everywere and is there only like 37 episodes??? I wish they would make more episodes or atleast an ulternate ending. I am not that big of a fan but i love death note so i try to get the books and the dollies they sell.

Proposed demotion of the largely inactive bureaucrats
There are currently 5 bureaucrats on the Death Note Wiki, including myself and MarleneZ and we now feel that 5 is more than needed.
The other 3 have not made regular contributions to the wiki, so MarleneZ and I wish to ask the higher wikia staff to have the other 3 bureaucrats demoted from their bureaucrat status.
The 3 bureaucrats are known as 'Dremler', 'Dreamanderson' and 'Dragonrider99'.

When Ryuk said this I couldn't help but wonder why. He said all who use the notebook end up miserable and in pain. Is this to atone for their wrong doings? Since I had completed the Death Note manga series I couldn't wait to read the 13th volume; its got more info on the characters and a whole lot of other features!!!
It's really sad to know that the Death Note series isn't going to continue any time soon!!! :'(

Thoughts on the Pilot manga
The story tells about Taro Kagami who is a 13 year old who is picked on at school. He then finds the death note on his way home from school. He is only able to under stand the word note on the cover since he has not learned the word death in his english class. Once he is home he uses the notebook as a diary and writing the names of 2 students that picked on him that day. Then the next day he finds out they died the day before. Now the story continues on and introduces the death eraser which will revive you if you haven't been cremated yet. Now Taro is doing the same thing as Light did in the manga, vowing to rid the world of evil.

Braces appearing above templates
When I edit the Manga Chapter pages and insert the templates, I always seem to end up with having two braces “}}” appear right above the template on each page [See image below].
Can anyone explain to me why those braces are appearing on each page above the templates?
I am finding them a bit annoying and I want to get rid of them but I can’t figure out how. Can anyone explain how to me, or at least just tell me why they think the braces are appearing?
moving fanon pages
I have moved the Alternative Ending page to the death note fanon wiki, because it’s clearly more fanon. I left it exactly the same, just on a different wiki now. I think I may add an article about it to the myths page.
I am moving a lot of the fanon content from the primary death note wiki onto this wiki seeing as this wiki is for the fanon content. Next I should move the "Leaked" Death Note film script over there as well.
Does anyone think I was wrong to do that? I can always undelete the page. But at most I think the most plausible fanon should go on the myths page

Hi, I just have some notes on templates:
- on pages using templates, do not change the order of things within the template
- on pages using templates, do not erase any part of the template. If information part of the template gives does not apply for a certain page, or if the information on that part is currently unavailable, just leave it blank; it won't appear. Deleting parts of the template can make things difficult because the order is out of wack, making it confusing. Also, we're constantly finding out new information that can be added. If we don't have the French voice actor for Jack Neylon, don't erase the “|french=” part of the template. Instead, leave it blank. Someone may later find out this information
