blanc et noir (French for "white and black") is the sole Death Note artbook and the first artbook by Takeshi Obata. It contains the artist's works between 2001 and 2006, including Death Note, Hikaru no Go, original art, and various other works illustrated by Obata.

The 132-page artbook comes in a black-and-silver slipcase and contains color illustrations on various types of paper, fold-out posters, and a four-page how-to-draw section. Included within the slipcase are three double-sided laminated posters featuring three Death Note illustrations, two Hikaru no Go illustrations, and one piece of original art. The English release was printed at a limited run of 10,000 copies.
