This article is a list of the unnamed Shinigami appearing in the Death Note series.
Long-haired Bone-like Shinigami[]
This is a Shinigami in the Shinigami Realm.
Appearance[]
This Shinigami has a very bone-like white body and long messy hair. Its face was not seen due to it covering its face while it slept.
Plot[]
This Shinigami first appears when Zellogi, Gook and Deridovely are playing cards, and Ryuk is observing the Shinigami Realm. One of the things noted in this Shinigami, who is sleeping.
Bone-shield Shinigami[]
This is a Shinigami who is constantly observing the Shinigami Realm. They appear in Ryuk's flashbacks when he tells Light Yagami about the Shinigami Realm.
Appearance[]
This Shinigami's form is humanoid in appearance. Their white vertebrae are visible, and they carry a stick that hangs on their right shoulder. There also appears to be remnants of a brown cloth hanging from parts of their body.
Scythe Shinigami[]
This is a Shinigami who is always seen walking around the Shinigami Realm.
Like another Shinigami, they usually appear in Ryuk's flashbacks when he tells Light Yagami about the Shinigami Realm.
Appearance[]
They are humanoid in appearance and carry a scythe. Their head portion is white and the rest of their body is dark gray as if they wear a robe.
Blond hair Masked Shinigami[]

This is a Shinigami who enjoys gossiping with other Shinigami.
Appearance[]

The Shinigami has long blond hair, and their nose and wide mouth are similar to those of Ryuk. They have white paint on their face, and their eyes have no pupils. In their neck, they have a human skull wrapped in a scarf. They have a collar around their neck, similar to Gook.
Character[]
They spend their time chatting and gossiping about other Shinigami, both those who are in the Shinigami Realm and in the Human World.

This is a Shinigami seen in the Shinigami Realm.
Appearance[]
This Shinigami has a humanoid body with a purple human skull for a head (white in the anime) and skin on their arms (yellow in the anime, blue in the full-color manga). They have a black (red in the anime) spade symbol on the side of their skull and wear goggles on their head. They also wear an orange (red in the anime) furry jacket.
Plot[]
They are seen sitting around with Armonia Justin Beyondormason and several other Shinigami discussing Ryuk's whereabouts, mentioning that he might have been serious about losing his Death Note. When another Shinigami mentions they heard Ryuk had two Death Notes, they question why he would even need two.
Trivia[]
- This Shinigami, along with several others, appears in a two-page spread in the manga. An almost identical image is in the first opening of the anime. However, this Shinigami is excluded from it.

Bird-skull Shinigami[]

This is a Shinigami seen in the Shinigami Realm.
Appearance[]
The Shinigami has a bird skull as a head, and their entire body is made of what appears to be bone. Their torso is broad, and they have elongated, skeletal arms with human hands.
In the manga, their shoulders are armor-like. In the anime, they're wearing a black and white shirt, and the armor-like bone shoulders are, instead, a part of the shirt. They wear a beaded necklace, which is black in the colored version of the manga and red in the anime.
Plot[]
They are seen sitting around with Armonia Justin Beyondormason and several other Shinigami discussing Ryuk's whereabouts. It is suggested that Ryuk may have been serious about having lost his notebook and that a human may have picked it up. Upon hearing this theory, the Shinigami remarks that this would mean Ryuk would be stuck in the human world until the human in possession of his notebook dies or the notebook is destroyed, which could end up taking a long time.
