Three soundtracks were released for the Death Note anime series. All were composed by Yoshihisa Hirano and Hideki Taniuchi and were released under the VAP label.

Four soundtracks have been released for the Death Note film series. The first three were composed and arranged by Kenji Kawai and released under the VAP label. The fourth soundtrack was composed and arranged by Yutaka Yamada and released under the avex trax label.

Death Note Tribute

Death Note Tribute is a tribute album dedicated to the live action movie for the Death Note (film). Published by BMG Japan on June 21, 2006 (Japan), it contains 15 tracks performed by various artists, such as Shikao Suga (feat. Amazons), M-Flo, Buck-Tick and Aya Matsuura. The soundtrack came with a cosplay Death Note notebook.

MusicalEdit

The Japanese production of Death Note: The Musical released two soundtracks in 2015: one featured the vocals of Kenji Urai as Light, and the other featured the vocals of Hayato Kakizawa as Light. Both soundtracks were recorded live in April 2015.

The music was composed by Frank Wildhorn. The lyrics were originally written in English by Jack Murphy and translated into Japanese by Ako Takahashi.
