Takeshi Ooi (尾々井 剛, Ōi Takeshi) is one of the eight members of the Yotsuba Group.
Character
Ooi is the Vice President of VT Enterprises at Yotsuba. He is the eldest and "most influential" member of the Yotsuba Group and he "appears" to control the conferences. He individually contacts the members of the committee.
Ooi was a graduate of Wasegi University Law department and is a weapon enthusiast with a father who worked in the Ministry of Defense. Death Note 13: How to Read states that Ooi "seems like a tough guy who doesn't sweat the details." It also states that he likes model guns and dislikes crowds.
Appearance
Ooi is a large, bald man. He wears a pair of glasses and a black suit.
Plot
Ooi directs the meetings of the Yotsuba Group as they work with the Yotsuba Kira to kill off their competition. Five months after L's death, Ooi dies of a heart attack with the other members as a result of Light Yagami writing their names in the Death Note. While Namikawa and Shimura had heart attacks and died while shaking hands at a meeting, Ooi died on his desk without the chance of standing up.

Ooi in the 2015 TV Drama
In the 2015 television drama, Ooi's role is very similar to his role in the manga. He conducts the meetings held with the Yotsuba Kira. He watches the special aired on Sakura TV staged by L and alerts Higuchi of it. He and the other six Yotsuba Group members survive the series.
