Why continue to suspect? Ending up miserable? My questions. Contains spoilers.

When Ryuk said this I couldn't help but wonder why. He said all who use the notebook end up miserable and in pain. Is this to atone for their wrong doings? Since Soirichiro never once used the notebook he died happy believing his son was not Kira. If he had said this and he was highly respected why did Mogi and Aizawa continue to suspect Light? Isn't that just a complete slap in the face to him? But they all do end up miserable which I wonder why?! They already killed a lot of people and thats what Shinigami do EVERDAY! So why do they die miserably? (Spoilers) Light dies in agony of being beaten, Misa commits suicide, Mikami dies (suicide in anime, went crazy and died in prison in manga) Takada commits suicide (anime.) It isnt even their fault! Shinigami's brought the Death Note to the human world is it their fault for picking it up?Another thing that bugged me was Rem cared for Misa why would she give Misa a Death Note? And let her do the Eye Trade?! She knew she would end up miserable, but continued... And how come Light is the main "culprit"? He did use the DN, but it was brought by a Shinigami! And at least 5 or more other people used the Death Note, but he is still guilty! Befor dying he should of told the world he was Kira imagine he would have so many supporters and almost all the world sided with Kira! He could of been the god! Near opinions?! I didnt really have an issue with Near, but he wasnt my favorite since I guess all Wammys House kids are weird... He was too much like L and too perfect for my tastes. In the manga I completely liked him a lot more!! He told Light he understood how Light could kill so many, but he didnt approve and he stated " I am just like you."
